che la commedia musicale è morta? Ci sono più momenti splendenti in questi 39
piccoli pezzi che nell'intera colonna sonora di un musical di Broadway dei
giorni nostri. Farciti con brani di dialogo in lingua originale, e sette
riedizioni del tema musicale dei Simpson (includendo le versioni australiana,
Big Band, e afro-cubana), questo disco include alcuni pezzi molto amati come "Who
Needs the Kwik-E-Mart?" Sono anche migliori le parodie: "Oh, Streetcar!"
(Tennessee Williams alla maniera del teatro musicale di comunità); "Dr. Zaius"
(Falco incontra Il Pianeta delle Scimmie); e "See My Vest" (la parodia di
Montgomery Burns del brano Disney "Be Our Guest(Stai con noi)" da "La Bella e la
Bestia"). Con la partecipazione straordinaria di alcune celebrità come Tony
Bennett, Robert Goulet e Beverly D'Angelo, Songs in the key of Springfield
è un tonico indispensabile per sostenere tutti durante le ore della giornata...
a patto che si conosca abbastanza bene l'inglese per apprezzare ogni sfumatura

Quando gli appassionati dei Simpson ammettono che il cartone animato sia uno
degli show scritti meglio per il piccolo schermo, si riferiscono anche alle
canzoni che arricchiscono ogni episodio oltre che ai dialoghi. Questo CD è un
buon punto di partenza ai suoni di Springfield che i sostenitori dei Simpson
(specie quelli che conoscono bene l'inglese) troveranno irresistibile. Tra gli
artisti musicali che hanno partecipato ai Simpson ci sono i Sonic Youth e Tony
Bennett, i cui contributi originali si trovano in Go Simpsonic. Ma chi ha
bisogno dei VIP, con un cast che include gli inimitabili Krusty il Klown ("Like
